I'm trying to put together a mix for a friend.

So far I've got:

Other suggestions? Maybe some Three O'Clock? Rain Parade? It's been so long since I listened to this stuff...

By the way, should have said to begin with...looking for the more sentimental, rather than upbeat, side of Paisley...just in general.

It's a bit of a stretch but how about some early Thin White Rope, maybe Down In The Desert?

gotta have "Sorry" by the Three O'Clock too, that's even more classic than "Jet Fighter" imo

The Salvation Army's "she turns to flowers" and that True West + Steve Wynn "Lucifer Sam" cover.

Would definitely have the Long Ryders 'Looking For Lewis and Clark'.

Have had Rainy Day "I'll Keep It With Mine" on repeat. Someone needs to reissue that disc.

Also a few solo Russ Tolman sets

Totally agree, every track on ETRPT is fantastic.

I thought people might be more excited about that Suspects set. The Davis University roots of the Dream Syndicate and True West.
I think I had one live set from them a few years ago and that's 2cds worth.
