I've been playing around with Alan Parsons Project's "Games People Play" (just the part after it kicks in, but before it goes to the verse), slowing it down to about 75%. If I could throw a beat on top of what's there, it would sound pretty sweet.

I've done the same, slightly slowed down the beat of Michael Sembello's "Maniac". I actually have a finished track now... that doesn't sound all that different from "Maniac". :/

I didn't either bc till now I hadn't watched the show beyond the first three seasons, which lack that intro. It's weird how the intro is all minor and synthy and then the main part of the theme comes in all major and jaunty, with a melody - as I saw someone online point out - quite a bit similar to a 1908 composition called "The Yama Yama Man."
