The title track all the way here. "With a Little Luck" is a bit too banal, in spite of some nice synths and stuff. And "Girlfriend" sounded much better with Michael Jackson on "Off The Wall".

Soft spots for "I've Had Enough" and "Name And Address," and the title track does have a lovely melody - but this is "Morse Moose" all the way, basically for the same reasons I voted "Wino Junko" on the Speed of Sound poll...OTT weirdness and melodrama surrounding something cartoonishly goofy. And fantastic bass playing and blues-shouting by Paul. "MY NAME IS MORSE MOOSE! And I'm CALLINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNnnnnnnnnnnnnnn... YOU!"

Seriously, if The Who had recorded it, it'd be a widely-celebrated classic.

This is Paul and Denny's folk-rock album for the most part. It ultimately fails due to weak songwriting and flat production, both of which would improve on Back to the Egg. I think i'll give Morse Moose another listen though due to Casino's description.

Anyway, the title track gets my vote.

I'm sure I listened to this album a lot at one point, but I can't remember what most of these songs sound like. I'm going to be banal and go for "With a Little Luck," which reminds me of my 7th grade girlfriend.

three years pass...

Pleasant rainy-day listening, this one. When it's trying for folk-rock smoothness I'd rather take something with a little more heart and soul (I dunno, Abandoned Luncheonette which I was listening to earlier) but the "rockin'" numbers have a pleasantly odd quality, like he was listening to a lot of 10cc.

Really bad cover art, though.
