Damn, this is really selling Igor Wakhevitch to me.

Should I check him out? Other Music only have an 80 dollar boxed set which I find a bit extreme ...

I don't anything about Wakhevitch, but isn't it annoying when the exigencies of records falling in and out of print force you, the record-buyer, into an all or nothing dilemma? The same situation prevails in the case of Herbie Nichols. It seems the only way to buy his music is via the completist box set - the individual albums long since having passed out of print. I have not yet found the courage to take the plunge, so I've had to get by on a few lonely MP3s culled from the Net.

as i recall there was a reissue that was reviewed in the wire of a 5 CD set sometime back. the guy didn't like it. can't remember why now though if i see it i'll pick it up and make up my mind.

anyone else pick up any of the vinyl reissues? put on logos a few nights ago and was impressed. sounded like a nice pressing. (the album also rules, of course)
