Holy Victrola

I've got a radio show on the community supported radio station kopn 89.5fm located downtown Columbia, Missouri.
I started doing radio at KCOU on the campus of the University of Missouri in 1997. I've been on the air pretty much every week since the fall of 97. I mostly play "psychedelic rock" but that only means whatever sounds good to me when I'm high.

I didn't actually start the program Holy Victrola. It used to be on Thursday afternoons and was originally hosted by Paul Sturtz and Jeff Breeze. The show went through a series of host changes until I eventually inherited it. I had to stop doing the original shit when I thought a move out of Missouri was imminent, but it fell through. My good friend Taylor Bacon then offered to alternate his wednesday night 10pm to midnight shift with me to keep me on the air. So that's where we are at now. Taylor recently decided to stop doing a radio show and now my co-host is Steve Ruffin, local projectionist and cultural guru.

Hope no one minds me starting a thread on it.

By coincidence, I was wearing one my KCOU shirt when I opened this thread, and then one of my new kittens crawled up on me and pooped on it. Not sure what that means, but I'm throwing it out there.

Cool, Kurt Vile on your latest show! A friend of mine recently introduced me to him and I'm really digging the few songs I've heard so far, "My Sympathy" especially.
