Mirror Mirror on the wall...whose the wettest one of all?
Is it the fruity icelandic dweeb so unhip he makes Kraftwerk look like James Brown and the Famous Flames....or is it the even fruitier Suthuhn Belle of Athens Georgia...

Lord Custos IV - The One with The Old Guy with a Bundle of Sticks on his Back, Tuesday, 2 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Fred can at least carry a tune -- whereas Einar's sole purpose was to annoy the listener.

I'll say it again: I like Einar.

nabisco%%, Wednesday, 3 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Me too! He made the second Sugarcubes album great; actually, he's the whole reason why "Shoot Him" is the best song on the album.

Dan Perry, Wednesday, 3 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-two years ago)

There is nothing at all wrong with Einar Orn -- he has an undeserved bad rap -- and I think he's done a lot more musicwise than Schneider ever has.

Jack Cole, Wednesday, 3 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-two years ago)

What about the "Just Fred" album??

electric sound of jim, Wednesday, 3 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-two years ago)

eleven months pass...
Einar fucking rules the world and is the best male singer in the entire world. Ever heard him sing "Cat"? You idiots must be musically retarded to even put him in the same sentence as any B-52.

einar was ace (no irony). we have a thread all about this somewhere.

piscesboy, Wednesday, 11 June 2003 16:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Fred Schneider rocks. U R all gay

Fabrice (Fabfunk), Thursday, 12 June 2003 12:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Why do I have the uncontrollable urge to post:
"Fred Schneider R all gay. U Rock." ?

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Thursday, 12 June 2003 13:34 (twenty-one years ago)

By the same token (on the plus side of Fred Schneider) I think Henry Rollins was right when he opined:
"When Fred Schnieder yells 'LETS RAAAAWWWWK!' [in Rock Lobster], it's as good as when Gene Vincent does it."

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Thursday, 12 June 2003 13:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Einar is great. the thing I love about the first Sugarcubes album is the way he and Bjork play off each other.

When I went to Reykjavik earlier this year I stayed near Einar's internet cafe. But I did not go and visit it.

DV (dirtyvicar), Thursday, 12 June 2003 15:21 (twenty-one years ago)

so, Einar == Flava Flav to Bjork's Chuck D?

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Thursday, 12 June 2003 15:25 (twenty-one years ago)

I think that is the general ilm consensus.

Mike Taylor (mjt), Friday, 13 June 2003 00:30 (twenty-one years ago)

jesus christ! FRED!!!!

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Friday, 13 June 2003 00:31 (twenty-one years ago)

if anyone has ever heard fred sing "theres a monster in my pants" they will soon realise the man is above any eejit from iceland.

frenchbloke (frenchbloke), Friday, 13 June 2003 07:16 (twenty-one years ago)

TS: Fred Schneiders "monster in his pants" vs Billy Mumy's "Party in my Pants"?

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Friday, 13 June 2003 10:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Fred. Einar is Lindsey Buckingham to Bjork's Stevie Nicks. But I'll always cherish the 'Cubes cover of "Motorcyle Mama."

Chris Clark (Chris Clark), Friday, 13 June 2003 11:50 (twenty-one years ago)

my sister emailed this link to einar asking why everyone thinks hes gay heres what he said:

>thought we were gay.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 14 June 2003 21:56 (twenty-one years ago)

Close, but not. That post by Michael Jackson's number one fan still takes the cake.
