It's grindcore for me if you mean grind that evolved from playing fast hardcore in the mid-'80s, or more modern bands that plough the same furrow. Goregrind, etc never clicked with me. I dig hardcore too but I rarely have the time of day for anything post-'80s (or not on SST, har har!).

grind is kind of a broad, if not contradictory, genre for me. i mean, the average length of songs on carcass' 'necroticism - descanting the insalubrious' is about 6 minutes. but it all seems to be about 90 second tracks these days.
