anyone into this guy? he used to play in haunted graffiti w/ ariel pink, who mastered his first record (which just became freely available [Removed Illegal Link])

i think it's an excellent album, and i think fans of pink and maus might dig it. here's a video just released from his second (third?) album, the horribles parade.

I'm digging Horribles Parade, and they're great live.

I love the idea of enlisting Ariel Pink as a mastering engineer. Move over, Bob Ludwig.

Gary War is awesome. The new LP on Sacred Bones is one of the weirdest sounding catchy records I've ever heard. Loved the first LP too.

one month passes...

I'm embarrassed to admit it sometimes takes a bit of hyperbole to perk my interest. Nick Richardson's review in The Wire - "Pop for experimental music fans. Horribles Parade is the bold statement of an incredibly eccentric vision, a complete rethink of the premises of pop writing."

On first listen it was irritating for ten minutes, but soon started growing on me as I got acclimated to the noise. Will listen more.

I was just listening to Pleading For Annihilation off his new album and its that good its keeping me awake. I suppose vintage Chrome is a reference point. Its really good shit.
