Though it took all of my lunch hour, I've transcribed the list of youtubes and assorted posts into a working list for the epic 70s Doom Comp. I'm not familiar with alot of the material, so apologies if I've mislabled a song or artist. I'll leave it to other fine ILMers to begin sorting out the actual tracklisting, sequencing, etc. All I know is that if it becomes a reality this will be one of the alltime great comps.

And we still have the 80s,90s and 00s ones to follow!

I think I got a cosign for Fleetwood Mac: Green Manalishi (With A Two-Pronged Crown) as well.

Dude if this comp gets made it will never leave my ipod ever.

There's a Norwegian guy who posts on Stonerrock.com "Classic Album Reviews" forum named knuthulhu. He has the most obsessive knowledge of 70s proto-doom of anyone I've ever encountered.

Next would be Dusty Sparkles of Danava. That guy knows his shit.

Here's a thread worth strip-mining: http://www.stonerrock.com/forums2/allposts.asp?summary=1&Forum=ap442284636&ID=6301&access=2&status=1&StartAt=0&subject=Vote%3A+greatest+obscure+heavy+albums

I didn't think we would run to a box set lol!
The 80s and 90s and 00s ones might reach ridiculous sizes.
For next thread Let's compile a 120gb ipod of 80s doom ;)

Gotta love the combine efforts of metal-nerd-dom!

Nate Carson, Wednesday, 23 September 2009 23:09 (fifteen years ago)

they gave me the business on stonerrock.com for my 50 proto-metal thud-rock faves list that i did for decibel. but it was cool.

scott seward, Wednesday, 23 September 2009 23:22 (fifteen years ago)

(part of the problem was that people thought my list was in order of greatness. but it was completely random.)

scott seward, Wednesday, 23 September 2009 23:23 (fifteen years ago)

it needs updated
