"Save Your Love", but this album is much better than rumour has it. 1979-81 is the most underrated Kiss era ;)

I love that Ace was giving three tracks on this album.

I've been re-listening to it of late. It hasn't aged at all well, but Geir's correct -- it's not nearly as bad as believed. I'd same the lamest track has got to be "X-Ray Eyes."

Alex in NYC, Sunday, 27 September 2009 20:23 (fifteen years ago)

x-ray eyes all the way. first two tracks on this album are great!

a full circle lol (J0hn D.), Sunday, 27 September 2009 20:29 (fifteen years ago)

"2000 Man" is far and away the best track of the bunch -- sadly overshadowed by the flamboyant-albeit-lumpen dace-floor fanfare of "I Was Made..."

Is that the Rolling Stones song?

(I think Kiss should stfu about "I was made" and play it live!)

Mark G, Monday, 28 September 2009 11:50 (fifteen years ago)

Yes, its the Stones song

Bill Magill, Monday, 28 September 2009 13:32 (fifteen years ago)

ta. Any good?

Mark G, Monday, 28 September 2009 13:34 (fifteen years ago)

yeah, not bad, not as good as the original, they make it longer, if i remember correctly

Bill Magill, Monday, 28 September 2009 14:08 (fifteen years ago)

Ta.

I heard the original Ars Nova version of "Fields of People", which was not bad, but nowhere as good as the Move's cover version...

Mark G, Monday, 28 September 2009 14:09 (fifteen years ago)

heard it on Friday, I should have said.

Didn't they band perform "Sure Knows Something" on their Unplugged special?

(I think Kiss should stfu about "I was made" and play it live!)

THey did on the 1996 tour.

Didn't they band perform "Sure Knows Something" on their Unplugged special?

They did, yes.

Stones cover for me here, just 'cause it was so strange and unexpected at the time. i still think they should have saved the best stuff from their solo shenanigans of the previous year for this disc tho; Paul's songs in particular would fit right in; and even Gene came up with a couple of good 'uns. oh well.

"Dirty Livin'" always seemed more gratuitously "discoey" to these ears than "I Was Made..."

Alex in NYC, Tuesday, 29 September 2009 01:22 (fifteen years ago)

..for whatever that's worth.

Alex in NYC, Tuesday, 29 September 2009 01:22 (fifteen years ago)

They also did 2000 Man on Unplugged

Bill Magill, Tuesday, 29 September 2009 13:07 (fifteen years ago)

"Hard Times" is the only one I can't remember, so that one.

Darin, Tuesday, 29 September 2009 20:22 (fifteen years ago)
