at least six of these songs are worthy contenders for #1

pretzel walrus, Monday, 28 September 2009 20:48 (fifteen years ago)

This is so obviously "Would?"

unban dance squad (Whiney G. Weingarten), Monday, 28 September 2009 20:50 (fifteen years ago)

drown is the best track on the album, and the best thing smashee pumpkee ever did by such a huge distance. but pretty much everything else here (beyond the zep cover) is great, and 'would?' and 'seasons' and 'overblown' and 'state of love & trust' give me pause over my choice.

fuck chloe dancer/crown of thorns is great too, but i guess you could get that on the mother love bone posthumous comp quite easily...

butchered in the spooky twilight (stevie), Monday, 28 September 2009 20:52 (fifteen years ago)

We did this in April.

kingkongvsgodzilla, Monday, 28 September 2009 20:58 (fifteen years ago)

oh bummer i am sorry about that

pretzel walrus, Monday, 28 September 2009 20:59 (fifteen years ago)

searching "singles poll" is...not very helpful

pretzel walrus, Monday, 28 September 2009 21:02 (fifteen years ago)

this is when I knew to stop paying attention to both Paul Westerberg AND Seattle

man, motherfuck a paddington bear (Shakey Mo Collier), Monday, 28 September 2009 21:02 (fifteen years ago)

Yeah lol. There are like15 per month.

kingkongvsgodzilla, Monday, 28 September 2009 21:03 (fifteen years ago)

how did i not vote for drown

Sitizen Syncope (Whiney G. Weingarten), Monday, 28 September 2009 21:08 (fifteen years ago)

State of Love and Trust is probably in my top 10 of favorite PJ songs, so it's hard to vote against. The Westerberg tracks might sway me.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 28 September 2009 21:19 (fifteen years ago)

you gotta search singles + ost: the SINGLES OST poll

I'll always rep for Screaming Trees.

WARS OF ARMAGEDDON (Karaoke Version) (Sparkle Motion), Monday, 28 September 2009 22:09 (fifteen years ago)

MEGA CHALLOPS: Jimi Hendrix is better than Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam and/or the Smashing Pumpkins.

Change Display Name: (Steve Shasta), Monday, 28 September 2009 22:42 (fifteen years ago)

It's still Would

kornrulez6969, Tuesday, 29 September 2009 00:01 (fifteen years ago)

lots of these bands have one of their best songs on here, Hendrix doesn't

So he made a big mistake -- try to see it once his way.

Little starbursts of joy (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Tuesday, 29 September 2009 00:40 (fifteen years ago)

I wonder if I voted for "Touch Me I'm Dick" in the other poll...

dlp9001, Tuesday, 29 September 2009 00:44 (fifteen years ago)

I also stopped paying attention to Mr. Westerberg - but AFTER this. These tunes were his last gasp, and I still like 'em. "Dyslexic Heart" is my pick.

Gerald McBoing-Boing, Tuesday, 29 September 2009 03:11 (fifteen years ago)

hah i voted for soundgarden this time round, but as per last time i might have voted for a handful of these.

Charlie Howard, Tuesday, 29 September 2009 07:25 (fifteen years ago)

"Drown" by a million leagues: it's basically all I've ever needed from the Pumpkins.

Euler, Tuesday, 29 September 2009 07:30 (fifteen years ago)

Wow, not a single vote for "Seasons"? That's a shame.

Alex in NYC, Thursday, 1 October 2009 23:45 (fifteen years ago)

seasons is great, but the competition here...
love 'nearly lost you' but wouldn't vote on it here because, in my mind, that's the second track to sweet oblivion, not a track off singles.

butchered in the spooky twilight (stevie), Friday, 2 October 2009 08:36 (fifteen years ago)

Seasons is indeed a good song. In fact it was one of the reasons why I was looking forward to Chris Cornell's solo career after Soundgarden went kaput. But oh, how mistaken I was...
