He was starting the new album...http://www.lasvegascitylife.com/articles/2009/10/02/music/cd/iq_31522299.txt

I think he has the strength of his convictions or pretensions, whichever you deem them to be, and I'm enjoying the Atmosphere-like dip into fiction, which lets his narrative gift run a little wilder...
Any thoughts, hate, love?

I was excited to see this thread had been created, but kinda disappointed not to see more replies. This is another winner from Ali, he's quietly grown into one of my favorite rappers. I think you are dead-on with the fictional narratives, they work surprisingly well. But I also love the songs where he can't help but brag about the good turns his life has taken, you can practically FEEL his grin through headphones. I'm not expecting this to get tons of love on ILM, but I do think this is a hundred times more interesting and worthwhile than a Gucci Mane mixtape or whatever (he says, hoping not to stir up yet another undie/radio rap debate).

Really looking forward to hearing this. Undisputed Truth snuck up on me and possibly wound up my favorite rap record of the decade.

the one song they've been playing in mpls is pretty awesome, really odd skeletal beat and he basically talks about these bad neighbor that live upstairs from him and are keeping his baby up at night so he sneaks into the other side of the duplex one night and steals all their drugs and goes and sells them himself

maybe abanana means that being albino is a gimmick?
last two albums should put him at #1, but a lot of rap fans are still way into disco dance, so...

i commend you
sir
i mean i don't think bro ali is the future of music? who says that? i don't get your deal.
he's just gonna, i dunno, do a record, tour a shitload and grind it out to what like 80,000 sales or something, and probably make more money off that than a lot of dudes do selling 250,000 on a major

he is paving the way for all caucasian albino muslim progressive rappers with black supremacist stage names to come

Brother Ali is great and doesn't need to be brushed away with the same "I only bump tweedy bird loc" Internet hardman schtick ILX uses for actual garbage like iggy azalelala
