The Girl In Da Corner (Minnie The Minx), Monday, 5 October 2009 00:41 (fifteen years ago)

I haven't heard all these discs, but it's gotta be one of the Dizzee Rascal discs, right?

Daniel, Esq., Monday, 5 October 2009 00:56 (fifteen years ago)

8. Lady Sovereign - Public Warning (2006)
9. Hadouken! - Music for an Accelerated Culture (2008)

wit and wisdom (snrub 'n' tug remix) (The Reverend), Monday, 5 October 2009 01:00 (fifteen years ago)

I saw Lady Sov at a festival once. Her stage banter was better than her music.

wit and wisdom (snrub 'n' tug remix) (The Reverend), Monday, 5 October 2009 01:00 (fifteen years ago)

no Ruff Sqwad no credibility.

Pedro Paramore (jim), Monday, 5 October 2009 01:01 (fifteen years ago)

there were 50 grime albums?

abanana, Monday, 5 October 2009 01:43 (fifteen years ago)

No Run the Road?? I guess compilations are excluded from the list.

Mr. Snrub, Monday, 5 October 2009 01:46 (fifteen years ago)

voted more fire crew.

titchy (titchyschneiderMk2), Monday, 5 October 2009 09:16 (fifteen years ago)

lol some of these titles have made mewarm to grime, a little.

history mayne, Monday, 5 October 2009 09:22 (fifteen years ago)

Did Crazy Titch ever manage an album?

James Mitchell, Monday, 5 October 2009 09:27 (fifteen years ago)

he didnt.

9. Hadouken! - Music for an Accelerated Culture (2008)
10. Two Fingers - Two Fingers (2009)
15. DJ Kentaro - Enter (2007)

^^these arent grime albums.

im still bitter about the shit grime albums i bought from ukrecordshop.

titchy (titchyschneiderMk2), Monday, 5 October 2009 09:28 (fifteen years ago)

I thought Goth-Trad was some sort of weird wonky dubstep biz?

Vladislav Delap (DJ Mencap), Monday, 5 October 2009 10:29 (fifteen years ago)

Boring but true answer = very few of these artist albums can touch the the first three Dizzee records. Only Ultrasound and Star In Da Hood really come close - maybe the first Wiley as well.

Voting BIDC.

Matt DC, Monday, 5 October 2009 10:55 (fifteen years ago)

I really hope that Virus Syndicate first album would hold up if I busted it out again cos I thought it was terrific at the time

Vladislav Delap (DJ Mencap), Monday, 5 October 2009 11:24 (fifteen years ago)

still need to hear that star in the hood.

2nd wiley on big dada is worth consideration here, not really the first one, no way.

dizzees first 3 are great, of course, but even they arent perfect. BIDC kinda peters out a bit in terms of pace, showtime is a bit too samey in terms of mood, and m&e is better/more varied/light and shade etc as an album but i dunno, its maybe a bit too much 'covering all bases' at times. glad that he returned to a bit of a rougher production style on that one though after showtime, which i thought was a bit too 'well' produced at times.

virus syndicate would be better if mark one had diff MCs.

titchy (titchyschneiderMk2), Monday, 5 October 2009 13:02 (fifteen years ago)

Star in the Hood is great. For me the real choice is Aim High 2 though.

Tim F, Monday, 5 October 2009 13:18 (fifteen years ago)

no Ruff Sqwad no credibility.

would have voted for Guns N Roses.

Dandy Don Draper (sic), Monday, 5 October 2009 14:11 (fifteen years ago)

aim high was never grimey enough imo. id actually vote guns n roses 1 over BIDC.

titchy (titchyschneiderMk2), Monday, 5 October 2009 14:36 (fifteen years ago)

where'd it go

The Girl In Da Corner (Minnie The Minx), Tuesday, 6 October 2009 15:57 (fifteen years ago)

Shit, i was going to vote for Soulfood Vol 2 but it's not there.

Run the Road i guess.

sam500, Wednesday, 7 October 2009 05:37 (fifteen years ago)

This grime stuff just doesn't fondle my balls the way trip hop does. Sorry.

chip dumstorf, Wednesday, 7 October 2009 10:24 (fifteen years ago)

titchy (titchyschneiderMk2), Wednesday, 7 October 2009 10:27 (fifteen years ago)

threesome dude (The Reverend), Monday, 19 October 2009 01:37 (fifteen years ago)

Am I the only one who voted for Lady Sov sincerely?

dan138zig (Durrr Durrr Durrrrrr), Monday, 19 October 2009 01:44 (fifteen years ago)

Nice to see a female winner

The Girl In Da Corner (Minnie The Minx), Monday, 19 October 2009 12:44 (fifteen years ago)

bit of an incomplete list but most grime albums, sorry i mean mix-cds, are a bit crap as albums, so its hard to vote in these things. lol@hadouken though.
