Having played thorough most of the Django Reinhardt & The Quintet of the Hot Club of France catalog, I decided to dive into the contemporary Gypsy Jazz scene.
Since there's no thread outside of Django, let this be ILM Jazz manouche central.
So far, into these albums:
(1991) Fapy Lafertin - Fleur de Lavende(1993) Dorado Schmitt - Gypsy Reuinon(2001) Joscho Stephen - Swinging Strings(2004) Andreas Öberg - Invites Yorgui Loeffler & Ritary Gaguenetti(2005) Patrick Saussois, Bucky Pizzarelli & Jerry Bruno - Swingin' American Songs(2006) Stochelo Rosenberg & Romane - Gypsy Guitar Masters(2008) Rosenberg Trio & Tim Kliphuis - Tribute to Stéphane Grappelli(2009) Biréli Lagrène's Gipsy Trio - Gipsy Trio
I also got (1990) Biréli Lagrène - Acoustic Moments, but it's more Contemporary Jazz/Smooth Jazz or whatever.
I plan on getting much of the Stéphane Grappelli solo catalog shortly.
Any must haves I'm not yet aware of?

I realize I'm currently alone on this thread, but for prosperity's sake....
(2002) Angelo Debarre Quartet - Impromtu
Good album, also.

(I think their first album might have been more gypsy jazz than this new one.)
