constant background buzz

in this house we got at least a radio in every room & i like to leave them on all the time when i'm doing stuff that involves moving around the house & etc etc etc, the down side of this habit tho is that i pretty often find there's been music on & i've been ignoring it & i'm like, oh what's this, i have no idea what this music is or even whether i particularly like it or what. you know. & that pretty often happens when it's something i specifically put on to listen to, not just the radio i left on when i'm coming & going doing stuff. so how 'bout you, do you tend to do this or do you try to only have music playing when you're giving it 100% of your attn?

turn off the radios = there is still background buzz, but it is entirely LIVE and unprogrammed

When we all used to leave the house we'd turn on talk radio for my cat. Otherwise living with me and my rampant coffee drinking is like living with a constant buzz.

I prefer to listen to radio frequencies all day every day.

I've never wanted/needed/had sound coming from the little black boxes in the corners of the room 24/7. It's less that I feel bad for ignoring it than I feel that on some level i CAN'T, especially in the case of commercials, where the constant background buzz = the coin-clank of advertisers doing business with your subconscious
