Great disc, but a lot of the songs bleed together for me.

I guess the last track is the standout.

Yeah, love this one a lot, but the last track no contest.

Didn't like this one much, though the last track is ace. Kinda surprised by my own indifference, cuz I LOVE They Were Wrong So We Drowned, and most fans seem to rate this one up there with (if not a step above).

I think of this album as a single of "12. The Other Side of Mt. Heart Attack" and the previous 11 songs as b-sides/demos.

I like this record but the first two albums are much more captivating for me, albeit in totally different ways.

They Were Wrong So We Drowned is easily one of the top records of the '00s for me.

So basically I agree with contenderizer 100%

voting for the very powerful "Let's Not Wrestle Mt. Heart Attack."

either 'it fit when i was a kid' or 'drums and the uncomfortable can'

Those that like They Were Wrong should be checking out Shackleton's Three EPs.

I couldn't get much out of the two tracks I got from Drum's and I got Liars but only liked the opener. So I gave up on these guys. But I guess I should give this another listen. They Were Wrong and We no longer knew who we were are decade favs, for sure.

Those that like They Were Wrong should be utterly dissapointed by Shackleton's Three EPs

like a lot of people here, i can't tell one from the other even though i've heard it a whole bwunch of times

Also going with the 'can't really tell them apart' crew. Possibly my favourite artwork of the decade though, and 1 of my top 20 records.

I will ride for Drum and the Uncomfortable Can

This is one of those albums which makes no sense to me when dissected. There are some songs which sound pretty good indiviually but I don't think they hold up as well without the whole album context.

Moka, Saturday, 31 October 2009 18:10 (fifteen years ago)

If I were to choose one I'd probably pick 'It Fit When I Was a Kid' since it's the only one that seems to have been patched into the concept of the album.

This album! Wish i had more time to talk about how much i love it. i agree the songs work better in the context of the album, but i don't really think they run together. "A Visit From Drum" gets my vote.
