Okay, guys. I take this as a solid refutation of the Chuck Biscuits death rumors. Otis Link was business partners with Chuck Biscuits back in the '80s, in a concern called Otis 'n' Biscuits. Here's what Otis just posted on his Facebook page:

The e-mail address biscuitsch✧✧✧@hotm✧✧✧.c✧✧ also belonged to Chuck; there seemed to be no question I was communicating with the actual Chuck Biscuits of Danzig/Black Flag/Circle Jerks fame and his wife, not some kind of strange impostor (a third party quickly confirmed for my paranoid mind that this Bob Montgomery was also the genuine article). The only question that remained was why? Why would Chuck Biscuits and his wife want to hose me and the rest of the world into believing he was dead? Bob could offer nothing beyond the fact his brother had a history of being a little nutty. That, it seemed, was that—until now.

Two days ago, a party who wished to remain anonymous sent me an e-mail suggesting that Chuck Biscuits and his wife concocted last year’s death hoax together in an attempt to escape continued problems stemming from a woman Chuck allegedly married in the 1980s to gain U.S. citizenship. This struck me as somewhat plausible, so I fired off a message to Bob Montgomery to see what he would have to say. Bob replied with the following yesterday:

“I am…extremely tired of the shit that my brother is pulling off. The whole saga is sad…Chuck and I were born in Los Angeles, we both are American citizens, always have been, probably always will be. Chuck and I, up until five years or so ago, were extremely close and I will go on the record to tell you that if he had gotten married, I would know about it. Period. Someone is bullshitting you again.”

In his response, Bob also included a screen cap of the most recent message he received from his brother Chuck. The e-mail, dated November 9, 2009, is rather crucial as it finds the drummer admitting he was behind his own death hoax, stating clearly “it was in fact from me” and that he “regret(s) sending the email (sic).” Biscuits goes on to say his wife Lauren played no part in the hoax and that the only “consequence” of his concern was the fact Bob believed he was dead.

“That the rest of the world was taken in, I could not care less,” Biscuits wrote. “That part of my life ended a long time ago.”
