My go-to Timbaland is the "History Of Timbaland Vol. 1-5" megamix some guy posted on the interwebs couple years ago, so this is gonna be hard for me...

one in a million and the bachelor have the obvious classic 4eva cuts on them...not sure how consistent they are as albums. deliverance, remember when ilx when nuts over that! with good reason! the version of "nowhere" which segues into "cry me a river" is astounding. i think i might vote for afrodisiac, which i have a huge soft spot for - it's so underrated, both in terms in its quality (the textures, the backing vox, so gorgeous) and its ~importance~ in terms of timbaland's development as a producer - a lot of it foreshadows work for eg justin timberlake that he'd go on to get a lot more props for. (fs/ls is an ok album but def not in the running here.)

Welcome To Our World is my weirdo pick, that album just jams from front to back, Deliverance a close 2nd but there a lot of these I still need to hear

it's pretty impressive imo, esp as far as having a cohesive sound throughout

it's hardly the only one that has a cohesive sound throughout. as i was saying, afrodisiac...so many of the sounds on fs/ls, those lush sweeping strings especially, were found there first.

yeah i've never really heard that album, but the one you posted does have a v. similar sound

FutureSex/LoveSounds. EASILY. Still my favorite album of the decade.

Girl Interrupted is a pretty good record. Def. better than any of the Magoo records.

of course, the missing option is the never-released kiley dean album, which would almost certainly get my vote had it officially existed ;_;

Deliverance, easy, although Brandy and Aaliyah are both close after. That Kiley Dean album is some next level stuff, esp. America. Never heard Ms. Jade or The DEFinition. HMm.

About half of Deliverance is brilliant, but the other half is kinda whatever. I guess the same goes for One in A Million.

Need to hear quite a few of these, especially the Timbaland & Magoo joints. Will happily live without ever hearing the last two.

very true! i missed it first time round. the claustrophobic midsection especially, "i know" through to "i'm crying out". "final warning" is incredible.

I love the singles on 100% but never heard the whole thing.

There's some neat music on Deliverance but I find Bubba Sparxxx unbearably corny now.

100% Ginuwine would have been my pick as well, must have ended up not voting in this poll ultimately. Really feel like this and Da Real World in the same year caught Timbaland at the peak of his powers (though of course Ginuwine makes this what it is).

Ok I'm going to have to relisten to 100% Ginuwine - I bought that and The Bachelor in the Zavvi clearance sale (£2 for the pair!) - I thought The Bachelor was great but 100% didn't grab me at all beyond a handful of tracks. The Brandy album is definitely the best of these I've heard, I completely missed this poll though.
