I've become obsessed by this guy the past few days, spent hours downloading his MP3s (on a 33k modem, no less), told all my friends about him... For those of you who don't know, he's a US musician/comedian who does lounge covers of alternative/nu-metal numbers. And... to me, it's great. His turning of "Last Resort" into a Russel Watson style workout (with a shout out to "Academy award winning actor Ralph Fiennes), his Limp Bizkit medley, his smooth as anything rendition of "Shake Ya Ass"... It boils down to the fact that he actually bothers making a proper song out of it, instead of relying on crap humour to carry it.

But I get the feeling I'm going to wake up in about five days time and realise it's shit. Same problem with The King a few years back. I doubt I've listened to that album since about two weeks after buying it.

Added to the fact that Me First and the Gimme Gimmes are one of my least favourite bands of all time... what's a poor boy to do, huh?

see: Black Velvet Flag, replacing LA punk with current nu-metal.
