Reindeer Section - C/D?

Have we done this before? The new record is stunning, though. Every track a gorgeous, mellow beauty. The highlight is the sweet, tender, Roddy Womble-sung "Who Told You?". The only low point is Aidan Moffat's horrid vocals crucifying the last track. The great thing about the Reindeer Section is that they turn their innate indie-schmindie-ness into an asset - it just gives the whole record a warm, familiar glow. Who can deny their excellence? Much better than Gary Lightbody's other group, the mediocre Snow Patrol. Any thoughts?

Thought it was alright, used to quite like Snow Patrol in a derivative kind-of-way. But only listened to their album twice, they were quitegood live. What did they used to be called? was it Polar Bear

I've taken a liking to Aidan Moffat's vocal delivery over the years, so I have to disagree with you about "Whodunnit." The album as a whole is splendid, though, and has me all pepped up to go back and buy the first one now.

The new record is great, as is the first.

That "Whodunnit" song has been floating around in my head for the past two days...

The single sounds like Del Amitri.

the new one is a lot like snow patrol, only more sedate. it's way better than the first RS album.
