I've never liked Aesop Rock's production, and I can't quite figure out why Slug and Murs would choose such a bleak producer for the new Felt album. That's just my personal bias, though; I'm sure if I liked Aesop Rock I'd be thrilled about the new Felt album. But I'm wondering if I'm alone here? Is Aesop Rock still such a critical favorite that you can speak no ill of him, or are there other out there who also think his beats are pretty unlistenable?

Sorry; I shouldn't have linked to my own post. Is there a way I (or someone else) can delete the link? I'm still curious to hear what other people think about the album; I really do think he was an awful fit for Felt's M.O., but I can't tell if that's just because I don't like the guy in general.
