Mining for POLL-ed: Cowboy Junkies Studio Albums

Highly innovative and underrated group, one of the first I ever really loved. More people should investigate their later work. I imagine The Trinity Session will walk this (and yes, I know it's not technically a studio album), even though it's not my favourite (The Caution Horses gets my vote). Now go.

voted whites off earth because i think it's their most-neglected album, but i like the first four a lot. i sort of lost interest after that.

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

voted black eyed man, partially for personal reasons but it's highly defensible and the Townes Van Zandt cover is aces. lay it down also deserves every vote it gets.

whites off earth i have to 'fess to neglecting so i may be wrong here.

black eyed man has a bunch of good songs -- especially the john prine duet and "this street, that man, this life."

(whites off earth is their death-blues record, highly recommended. mostly covers.)

I was in on the ground floor w/ Cowboy Junkies, bought Whites Off Earth when it was brand new after hearing their lethargic/hypnotic "Baby Please Don't Go" on college radio. Love it, but Trinity Sessions truly is a masterpiece.

It's almost like somebody polled totally disparate records and used history as a criterion rather than ears.

Open was robbed in this

I was going to post the exact same thing. Would have voted for that if I'd seen this poll (though Trinity remains one of the greatest albums ever and is the clear winner here). But yeah, Open is amazing.
