if I don't see more dissent, I'm going to have to check myself in (Matos W.K.), Saturday, 28 November 2009 00:18 (sixteen years ago)

Hell with it, I went with Macy Gray. Still like that song a lot.

jesus christ I don't like a single one of these.

Hell is other people. In an ILE film forum. (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Saturday, 28 November 2009 00:42 (sixteen years ago)

lol @ madonna american pie, that was a pretty big hit at the time, its hard to believe in retrospect.

i think im gonna vote dmx, basically as novelty it has had the most staying power of these 4 me

johnny crunch, Saturday, 28 November 2009 01:12 (sixteen years ago)

hot boys v. macy gray for me. i'd totally forgotten about "american pie" and now i'm going to try to again.

hellzapoppa (tipsy mothra), Saturday, 28 November 2009 01:19 (sixteen years ago)

I remember seeing SheDaisy promoted somewhere or another & thinking w/a name like that, they had to be cooked together by a studio that did not own the Dixie Chicks.

mascara and ties (Abbott), Saturday, 28 November 2009 01:31 (sixteen years ago)

How the hell did I forget Metallica made a song called "No Leaf Clover"? That is comedy gold.

comes down to dmx vs mandy moore for me, can't choose, love those songs so much. might go w/mandy as there are several dmx tracks i love more while i don't think mandy ever touched "candy" again. but i have never heard that da brat single.

lex pretend, Saturday, 28 November 2009 09:58 (sixteen years ago)

I'm abstaining too. I guess I like the Kid Rock song ok, and the DMX one also.

Re. SheDaisy (uggh, it hurts to type that capital D): I learned of them from the back of Frosted MiniWheats boxes back in the day; I guess they were being cross-marketed with cereal. That was mostly what I needed to know of the band. Well, that and the capital D.

One vote for "Maria Maria," but I have a feeling it might be the only one.

_Rudipherous_, Saturday, 28 November 2009 11:49 (sixteen years ago)

The only one of these I knew off the bat was Hoku "Another Dumb Blonde" because I was watching a lot of Nickelodeon at the time, for some reason. However, I realized that I remembered the Macy Gray song, even though I didn't recognize the title.

kingkongvsgodzilla, Saturday, 28 November 2009 11:51 (sixteen years ago)

Guy or Macy Gray and I voted Macy Gray but tbf I don't think I know half of those tracks.

Twisted Hipster (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 28 November 2009 11:54 (sixteen years ago)

lol DMX, “Party Up (Up In Here)” (Ruff Ryders/Def Jam) 2/26 (88) I unapologetically love this song. Sometimes I put it on when I'm driving and all of a sudden there really is a party all up in my car.

bear say hi to me (ENBB), Saturday, 28 November 2009 12:26 (sixteen years ago)

^^^This. I'm pretty sure they stole that title off the back of an 8th grade goth's notebook. Laughing so hard.

I HEART CREEPY MENS (Deric W. Haircare), Saturday, 28 November 2009 15:13 (sixteen years ago)

Yeah, it is pretty great.

henry man see u (some dude), Sunday, 29 November 2009 00:16 (sixteen years ago)

Sorta with Alfred on this. It's crazy how much better the previous month's list was. DMX over Macy Gray.

really senile old crap shit (Eric H.), Sunday, 29 November 2009 00:30 (sixteen years ago)

this song is not getting enough love here. it's so perfectly late-clinton-era.

hellzapoppa (tipsy mothra), Sunday, 29 November 2009 02:24 (sixteen years ago)

i dunno that song is just about my least fav track on cash money platinum hits

henry man see u (some dude), Sunday, 29 November 2009 02:40 (sixteen years ago)

granted it is not a career high point for anyone involved. but it bounces fine, the hook works and it's also just so of-its-moment.

Dr. Dre Featuring Snoop Dogg, “Still D.R.E.” (Aftermath) 2/5 (99)

these are the only ones I like on this list - went with DMX

unban everyone tbh (Curt1s Stephens), Monday, 30 November 2009 16:25 (sixteen years ago)

Huh, the only song I can hum from this entire list is the Chili Peppers one (though I know I've heard the Macy Gray and probably Madonna and Santana, too).
