Wanted to vote for Arular but it's not electropop so I didn't.

I voted for John Cale because it's awesome.

Voted Section 25 for Bimble. Also, fuck these RYM polls.

Some seriously great albums on here Junior Boys, Yellow Magic Orchestra, The Knife, Annie, Ladytron, Goldfrapp, Robyn, Max Tundra, Fischerspooner, Ellen Allien & Apparat but I'm going to have to go for Kraftwerk, it just beats everything. Hot Chip would be my second choice I still really rate that.

I voted for Max Tundra but that was before I saw John Cale :(

It's not surprising to see YMO on this list (in fact, I'm disappointed there aren't a few more!), but it is weird to see that one singled out. I always thought Solid State Survivor/XOO Multiples/Naughty Boys were kind of the consensus YMO picks.

from the hip, no question

I was just going to say that, but I maintain that BGM is the greatest thing they ever did (and one of my most often listened-to albums). The production on that is just so damned nuanced that I notice something new every time.

What? No "Come And Get It"?

Again, this is about genre terms. "BGM" is categorized as "synth pop" and "electronic" while it seems nobody has proposed "electropop" for that album. Which means it isn't in the "electropop" list (well, until I did it 10 seconds ago). Don't ask me why. :)
