"Oh No, Annie Lennox is wearing an "HIV Positive" T-shirt..."

British pop icon Annie Lennox shocked the crowd as she performed “Chain of Fools” with soul legend Aretha Franklin last night. Some fans who tuned into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame concert on HBO on Sunday became worried about Annie’s health after taking a glimpse at the singer’s t-shirt, which read “HIV POSITIVE” in blarring letters.

Don’t worry — Annie hasn’t been diagnosed with the virus that causes AIDS. The t-shirt is a part of the musician’s on-going campaign to help raise awareness about the impact HIV/AIDS.

Today is World AIDS Day so it probably had something to do with that too.

Lennox wore the same shirt on the Graham Norton Show last night. I think that on the back it said something like "RAISING HIV/AIDS AWARENESS"?

Yeah it's an awareness-raising thing - a friend of mine works for an AIDS charity and was in a meeting with her yesterday.

Fighting the desire to say something stupid like, "Look, she's being joined in her efforts by Jamie Lee Curtis!"
