Poor obcure Lucy Show, no thread. A great jangly sub-Chameleons bands from the 80s, put out a pair of excellent albums both of which have been reissued by Words On Music. A rarities comp is also slated soon.
Mark Bandola and Rob Vandeven went on to other things: Bandola issued one excellent single under that moniker and a pair of hit-and-miss albums as Typewriter. Vandeven put out an outstanding album in the late 90s as Zero Zero and only recently has surfaced again.
What say ye?

They're alright, have both those reissues you mention.

I used to have "Sad September" on a mixed tape. Liked that one.

Have affection for Leonardo da Vinci, cos I'm pretty sure Peel played it the first time I listened to his show.

i was a big fan in high school of the two albums. they are uneven, but the high points are awesome. definitely ahead of the shoegaze pack by some years. like, for instance, ultra vivid scene would later remind me of these guys somewhat. got the second album again after not hearing it for years and was really surprised by how much i liked it. the one guy with the mitch easter-y voice way better vocalist than the other guy with the kinda mock-dramatic lower voice.

The rarities comp, "Remembrances" has finally seen the light of day. I would've preferred more b-sides and less demos but it's great to have at all.

Yeah it's a catch-all release rather than a comprehensive one but the demos are kinda fun in a 'what if these guys were minimal wave?' way. AMG review forthcoming.

Stoked to hear this comp. The first use of Xmas Amazon certs. _Undone_ was a beloved college favorite. I was ecstatic to replace a B+ vinyl rip with the WoM reissue, wrote a gushing "thanks!" to WoM, getting a nice reply in turn.

Rob Vandeven's got a new project, The White Space. New album is a grower but reveals itself after a few listens. Stream it from their site: http://thewhitespace.bandcamp.com/album/the-crescent-wave
