I've had this sitting on the hard drive since it came out in Europe late last year - it's good, but in the same way that Freelance Whales are. It never fully commands my attention, but I listen to it a decent amount, and enjoy it a lot. I guess it appeals to me in the way that Fleet Foxes appealed to some people (despite my own total bafflement on the whole FF thing)

i like this. do they have two drummers? lots of nice, flammy clicks & clacks and all the parts seem really well thought out.

i really enjoying the hell out of this record. really love the way they harmonize on the vocals. something i will be going back to quite a few times this year.

i need a new album. i need them to tour again. there's nothing not good about this group and it was really weird to never hear about them save for mostly passing mentions in college sales
want to try their 2006 album "orion way" when they were called cavil at rest

Listening to the new album, it seems everything they do, somebody else does way better.

What's with the album cover? I guess they want it to look dated as soon as possible.
