Kind of a strange parallel going on here: two iconic seventies acts, well past their respective creative peaks, releasing singles about communication in the modern age.

I love them both, but I have to give it up to Kraftwerk. This was their last good single before they started rehashing everything. It is worth your while to track down the Francois K remix on the B side of this 12". It comes in at around 122 and mixes well with a lot of clean electro(King Tut by Paul Hardcastle comes to mind immediately).

That Village People cut was a running joke for years in Austin. It is a decent cut, but there is a lot of boogie stuff that is a lot more interesting. If you lose the video and the phone sex angle, the music is kind of generic. It is a good novelty track, but that is about as far as it goes.
