shep pettibone on first glance. will have a think though. btw, introspective further listening is going to impossible.

I really love the previously unreleased version of "One More Chance" here. Now, I was a fan of the original Bobby "O" version, but never quite liked the 12 inch version used on the "Actually" album, which was a very typical late 80s Julian Mendelsohn mix with D-50 percussion overkill and all.

I guess they had actually messed it up, so I was very pleasantly surprised when it appeared the original 4 minute version of the new recording was actually better than the 1984 original.

So there's where my vote goes. Although I really like the way "Heart" was brushed up for single release too.

"You Know Where You Went Wrong" and "I Want a Dog" are brilliant, but "Do I Have To?" is on another level: lovelovelove how the choral hook and verses are never resolved.

btw, introspective further listening is going to impossible.

I feel that one is a bit too laden with too many versions of the same songs, largely because there aren't too many songs to choose from from that era.

"Behaviour further listening" will be pretty much impossible though, loaded with gems. But we're getting a bit ahead of ourselves then. :)

For me it's between "Do I Have To?" and "I Want a Dog". I'm going with the former.

"You Know Where You Went Wrong" is one of my favorite songs ever.

Do I Have To Vs. A New Life.

Anyone remember Inga Humpe's cover of Do I Have To? It's even better than theirs!
