I'm afraid we're dealing with Garth Crooks (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 13 February 2010 21:21 (fifteen years ago)

Orianthi's guitar solo. 2nd would be MJ. Third Streisand/Celine.

jetfan, Sunday, 14 February 2010 00:06 (fifteen years ago)

Lots of big names absent. For such a big cause couldn't they have gotten Beyonce, Timberlake, Taylor Swift, Jay-Z to phone in a verse they way Mary J Blige did?

jetfan, Sunday, 14 February 2010 00:13 (fifteen years ago)

do you think that would've made the slightest bit of difference in the quality of the song, or the impact it makes as a charity project?

the cold bieber open (some dude), Sunday, 14 February 2010 00:18 (fifteen years ago)

wyclef's spazzy shit at the end seems like it best captures the spirit of this quasi well meaning clusterfuck

El GarBage (M@tt He1ges0n), Sunday, 14 February 2010 00:29 (fifteen years ago)

T-Pain!

The Reverend, Sunday, 14 February 2010 00:31 (fifteen years ago)

The Reverend, Sunday, 14 February 2010 00:33 (fifteen years ago)

the lead singer of a country band that's sold like 8 million records

the cold bieber open (some dude), Sunday, 14 February 2010 00:38 (fifteen years ago)

i remember thinking that enrique iglesias looked/sounded gruesome

nagl wayne (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 14 February 2010 00:46 (fifteen years ago)

Daniel, Esq., Sunday, 14 February 2010 00:47 (fifteen years ago)

nagl wayne (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 14 February 2010 00:47 (fifteen years ago)

that's my vote, then.

Daniel, Esq., Sunday, 14 February 2010 00:48 (fifteen years ago)

Collectively, all of the rappers reciting a verse together end up sounding like Young Jeezy.

Those fanatic fans who nominated Michael Jackson for the Nobel Peace Prize every year were of course crazy, but out of these, I would actually say he did. After all he did have that "Heal The World Foundation" thing, and surely got a bit of money through to the children of the world. And before he got all "God" in a very tasteless way for the "Earth Song" video, he had made to rather socially conscious videos for "Man In The Mirror" and "Heal The World".

So in this case, I'll rep for Jacko. Bono will also be around in the new "We Are The World" though, and he has done considerably more for the world than Jacko did.

M.V., Sunday, 14 February 2010 21:40 (fifteen years ago)

I was honestly impressed w/ P!nk

I thought Miley was pretty good

destroy maroon 5 dude though

lukevalentine, Sunday, 14 February 2010 21:49 (fifteen years ago)

Did this ever fucking end?

Also lol at Kanye's verse being all 'lol whats the point just die already'.

Why the fuck is it 'you and me' when 'you and i' would sound infinitely better as a half rhyme?

Sort of could not watch that video. Seemed really twisted taking footage of Haiti and applying this cinematic sentimentality with cheesy sentimental soundtrack and cuts to different famous people singing.

Wyclef's vocals made him the neo-Bruce Springsteen of this WATW. i was waiting for him to go "BAHRUMPBUMBUMMMBAHRUMPDUMBTING" like dave chappelle did on the making the band spoof.

Ballistic, Thursday, 18 February 2010 00:32 (fifteen years ago)

Yaz Hands (Paul in Santa Cruz), Thursday, 18 February 2010 02:47 (fifteen years ago)

Holy shit is that Brian Wilson?

Anyway, pretty much embarrassed for everyone involved. OMG LOLs.

But I'll vote Nettles because I like Sugarland and also think she's smokin' hot.

Pink sounded alright too.
