With EMI selling more and more of their catalogue, hopefully they'll not sell Beatles, Bowie and Stones shortly, as the versions of their albums are all pretty much state-of-the-art and surely not in need of any cash-ins in terms of new versions.

However, selling off Kate Bush and Pink Floyd might be a good idea as both are in awful need of remasters by now. :)

They are selling off bits and pieces of their catalogue now because of the economy. Island have already taken over Queen, and subsequently reissuing their back catalogue (which was about time)

Is that really EMI selling their Queen interest, or did Queen sign to a 'production company' back in the day and the rights reverted to them?

Floyd have recently resigned and they will be doing the whole reissue plan hopefully before the year end, they've been reviewing the vaults so fingers crossed there will be unheard stuff too.
