In Lemmy from Motorhead's biography, he recommends an excellent Buddy Holly album. Which one was it?

It might have been more than one album, but he said it was great.
Or alternately, recommend some excellent Buddy Holly albums that Lemmy probably would like.
Thanks!

Just pick up the Definitive Collection single disc. Either that will satisfy your Buddy Holly needs for a lifetime, or you're going to want to track down the Purple Chicks Complete Buddy Holly 10 disc bootleg set of everything vaguely associated with the man.

I want to hear Lemmy sing "Words Of Love".

Dunno which one Lemmy chose, but this one:

is rock and roll all the way!

The only mention in his autobiography, according to Amazon Look Inside:

My first full album was The Buddy Holly Story, which I got right after he died. Actually, I saw him perform at New Brighton Tower. See, that fuckin' shows your age - I saw Buddy Holly live!

Oh that might be the record! My memory might be wobbly but I thought he went into more detail, like "great songs, every last one" or "say what you want, he sure could write a song" or something like that.

He follows that up with Buddy Holly never did a bad track, as far as I could hear and [Eddie Cochran] and Holly were the ones who inspired me to play guitar.

FWIW "The Definitive Collection" has every track from The Buddy Holly Story plus 14 more.

I'ma start a Facebook group petitioning Lemmy to cover The Buddy Holly Story album a la the Flaming Lips and Dark Side of the Moon!

He did a bunch of Holly covers on that Lemmy & Friends "Rock and Roll Forever" album from 2000. If memory serves they were decent.
