"Get the Party Started," not an easy call--"Slave 4 U," "Whenever, Wherever," "Who We Be," and "Wrapped Up in You" all could have had it.

Please Do Not Swagga Jack Me (Matos W.K.), Friday, 26 February 2010 00:42 (fifteen years ago)

"We Thuggin'" and "You Gets No Love" are so underrated, think i'm gonna vote for the latter. also love "Girls Girls Girls" and like "My Sacrifice" and "Diddy" and "Who We Be," and "I Wanna Talk About Me" is pretty funny too.

Toby Keith seems like a nice guy but that is the worst shit ever

musically, Friday, 26 February 2010 03:42 (fifteen years ago)

hahaha god I totally overlooked "Caramel" and "LCA" both, they had a shot at it too. I think this is a pretty strong group. (And the Garth is really nice, you guys should hear it.)

Please Do Not Swagga Jack Me (Matos W.K.), Friday, 26 February 2010 03:44 (fifteen years ago)

I hadn't even noticed these polls before!

Anyway, "I'm Tryin'" is one of the saddest divorced songs of the decade (and one of the saddest divorced dad songs ever, and the best thing Trace Adkins will ever do.) So that, over one of Toby's best singles (and he's had a ton of good ones), and one of Shakira's, too.

City High's bigger hit might have had a shot, but not this one.

xhuxk, Friday, 26 February 2010 04:07 (fifteen years ago)

("One of the saddest songs of the decade" period, I meant.)

xhuxk, Friday, 26 February 2010 04:07 (fifteen years ago)

Actually, looks like "Caramel" charted a few spots higher on the r&b chart than "What Would You Do?," which surprises me. But "What Would You Do?" charted higher in the Hot 100, and that's their great one I think.

xhuxk, Friday, 26 February 2010 04:12 (fifteen years ago)

top 5:

who we be
i'm a slave 4 u
girls girls girls
we thuggin'
a woman's worth

Love Who We Be so much - the brutal, relentless stabbing motion - just noun after noun after noun: "The bullshit, the drama, the guns, the armour."

gotanynewsstory? (Dorianlynskey), Friday, 26 February 2010 13:18 (fifteen years ago)

"We Thuggin'" and "You Gets No Love" are so underrated, think i'm gonna vote for the latter. also love "Girls Girls Girls" and like "My Sacrifice" and "Diddy" and "Who We Be," and "I Wanna Talk About Me" is pretty funny too.

kev i'm kind of offended that you could misremember that i ever repped for "a woman's worth" and would find it believable

some dude, Monday, 1 March 2010 00:44 (fifteen years ago)

I hate "I Wanna Talk About Me" so bad

waka yoga flame (some dude), Tuesday, 2 March 2010 14:36 (fifteen years ago)

I regret not casting a vote for Nelly. #1 should not be #0!
