Clownstep ??? Doofstep ?

oscar, Sunday, 28 February 2010 04:45 (fifteen years ago)

Clownstep was kind of an insulting designation though wasn't it? It wasn't intended to sound stupid and mean, I think.

Isn't crack house that DJ Zinc thing?

De que estas hablando? (Tannenbaum Schmidt), Sunday, 28 February 2010 10:49 (fifteen years ago)

Crack house: DJ Zinc was one of the leading names in drum'n'bass, but he abandoned the genre to pioneer a new hybrid of house music

Okay, I thought it was a joke as the link on the wiki list only leads to a page on actual crack houses.

Also not mentioned in the list but Wiki has articles on are Handbag and Hardbag house.

naus, Sunday, 28 February 2010 20:23 (fifteen years ago)

I bet whoever was really proud of coining "sambass".

seandalai, Monday, 1 March 2010 16:35 (fifteen years ago)

Handbag was a pretty commonly recognised genre name in the UK for a minute back there, I guess not really now tho

sometimes I feel like throwing my glands up in the air (DJ Mencap), Monday, 1 March 2010 16:55 (fifteen years ago)

I love the way Handbag described the action of dancing to it / manner of dancefloor congregating rather than eluding to the way it sounds.
