A Jedward cover of "EMI" would be... interesting...

might seem normal but is actually (snoball), Wednesday, 17 March 2010 22:32 (fifteen years ago)

I'm still trying to figure out if I'm relieved or disappointed to learn that Jedward is two people, rather than some kind of schlubby/goofy singular pop star actually named "Jedward"

oɔsıqɐu (nabisco), Wednesday, 17 March 2010 22:32 (fifteen years ago)

I mean, I would always just notice something about something called Jedward on X Factor and imagine a kooky homely older guy with glasses going "Hullo, I'm yr pal JEDWARD!"

oɔsıqɐu (nabisco), Wednesday, 17 March 2010 22:33 (fifteen years ago)

No it's worse because there are two of them.

At least there arent' three?

Jedwardo?

I request "Fireflies" (dyao), Thursday, 18 March 2010 00:28 (fifteen years ago)

Their next single is rumoured to be House of Pain's "Jump Around". Should make the choreography simpler, assuming that Jedward can jump up and down in time.

still think they'll be just TV presenters within 18 months

but they won't be as good on breakfast TV as Robert Smith

WHAT A TROUPER.

Seriously, I'm in awe of this. Yes, at 2:05 is when he REALLY fucks it up, but he actually injures it during the tumbling at about 0:30 because he's crawling by the next time you see him at about 0:39.

Hey Jabulani! Pope of four four two. (aldo), Saturday, 10 July 2010 12:37 (fourteen years ago)

even tho their schtick is more wtf abhorrent than brokenCYDE (saying A LOT actually), kudos to the dude for being a pro & finishing the set. Even if it is just a sprain, ankle injuries are fucking PAINFUL

the new hot dawg stand in compton (Pillbox), Saturday, 10 July 2010 12:53 (fourteen years ago)

It's kind of rare that you notice a singer's timing, because a singer has a lot of freedom inside a pop song -- to move around, to find his own space. A good singer can sometimes seem to be not singing with the rhythm but almost dictating to the rhythm how it will feel, what its mood will be.

Jedward's timing on "Oops! I Did It Again" is not an example of this.

blended haircrüt (absolutely clean glasses), Thursday, 30 June 2011 14:43 (thirteen years ago)

probably the cure but i've only heard a couple of songs, which i didn't particularly like

lex pretend, Thursday, 30 June 2011 14:44 (thirteen years ago)

i don't have any favourite jedward-related things

lex pretend, Thursday, 30 June 2011 14:44 (thirteen years ago)

Nonsense, there's always the happy moment when you realize that they have left your TV screen or that a song of theirs has stopped playing.

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 30 June 2011 14:45 (thirteen years ago)

i avoid those moments via the classic tricks of not having them on my tv screen and not playing their songs

lex pretend, Thursday, 30 June 2011 14:46 (thirteen years ago)

But pop is designed to foist itself upon you when you are least suspecting.

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 30 June 2011 14:48 (thirteen years ago)

I can see Robert Smith's voice as a barrier to entry for you, lex. I just spent 20 minutes looking for a song to bounce off of you before going "eh, nvrmind" lol.

DJP, Thursday, 30 June 2011 14:54 (thirteen years ago)

on the plus side, I am now listening to "Primary" and very happy

DJP, Thursday, 30 June 2011 14:55 (thirteen years ago)
