Outkast's hits from Stankonia and on have a lot of crossover appeal, so even middle aged mostly-hip-hop-negative people like me. But more generally, I can easily see how people who aren't necessarily big hip-hop fans would go for them over Mystikal or Nas, etc. etc.

So sorry for liking the wrong hit songs. (I did get some exposure to mainstream radio at the time and this song is one that stood out in a good way.)
