The best moments of Jimi Hendrix

I come and go with Jimi in waves every year or two, going back and listening to his stuff a bit more intently. I've been listening to him for the last 20 years or so since I was a little boy and I absolutely love what he did. I've a few of his LP's and have seen a bunch of footage, but I assume people on here would be able to more properly direct me to the best moments of his career.

I think I'm in one of these waves again and I'm looking for the best videos, the best live takes, album cuts, etc.

Thanks so much in advance!

Long article co-written by my buddy on Jimi's debut gigs in Washington D.C. (a week's worth). This will be in the Sunday Washington Post magazine section

idk, i've heard tons of hendrix deep cuts but i feel like the best hendrix songs are the ones everyone loves. purple haze, voodoo chile, watchtower, machine gun, red house, little wing, hey baby. maybe some of these are deep cuts? i don't think of any of them as deep cuts.

Obvious answer but nothing comes close to the note he hits 4 minutes into Machine Gun

Agree with rushomancy. He’s one of the artists where his most well known are actually his best.

That said Axis is for me his best album and people seem to rate electric ladyland and are you experienced better

Ladyland is the one I associate with late high school so reminds me of stoned summer nights and getting interested in girls and all of that good stuff. but yeah axis is probably the better record.

One of the best moments is that part in Come On when you think the solo is ending, but instead he just modulates to a higher key and keeps on shredding
