I am officially 50% insufferable music snob! That's about right, actually.

Of those, I've just got Discrete Music. I used to have Neu!, but didn't like it.

Eight. Nine counting the Schoenberg, but classical music is actually my wife's stuff.

I've got eight.

Out of these, I only own Trout Mask Replica, and that's because I inherited the vinyl from my dad's dead hipster cousin. Would never had bought if myself, I don't care about that sort of music.

Incidentally, if anyone's interested in buying/trading that album on vinyl, I'd be happy to get rid of it.

The only one I properly own is Trout Mask Replica. I've got Discreet Music on cassette, and the Neu! album on my iPhone (on an offline Spotify playlist). Other than attending a performance of In C, I've never heard the rest.

I own three of them but decided to go with 50/50 as a compromise as I know and like almost all of them and own variant albums by most of the artists/have mp3s of several more. I probably should have just voted three, though. Sorry for corrupting the science here.

My three are Miles, Neu!, and VU. Own other Eno, but not that one. Used to own some Zappa and that Beefheart, but those were sold in a purge at some point.

9. Y'all are makin' me feel real snobby. I feel like that list aims a little too much towards people who like a specific style (drone and experimental). Like anyone who likes Neu! probably likes Glass and Riley and it's not much of a jump from there to include Aphex, Stockhausen, Eno and VU.

The Schoenberg is a substantial work and is quite nice but I've never seen anyone single it out before, especially considering the importance of Einstein and In C in their composers' respective oeuvres.

I can see where you're coming from. On the other hand, I would argue that "Analogue Bubblebath" is musically probably more accessible than "Richard D. James Album", which is perhaps the weirdest and strangest thing he has ever done.
