I need some help making a mix for a friend of mine who is an accountant. Since tax time approaches in the US, this might be fun.
I need at least 80 minutes of songs about taxes (minus the Beatles' song, please). I don't expect anyone to do my homework for me, but off the top of my head I can think of this favorite:
The tax man's taken all my DOUGH,
And left me in my stately home,
Lazing on a sunny afternoon.
And I can't sail my yacht,
He's taken everything I've got,
All I've got's this sunny afternoon.
Save me, save me, save me from this squeeze.
I got a big fat mama trying to break me.
And I love to live so pleasantly,
Live this life of luxury,
Lazing on a sunny afternoon.
In the summertime
In the summertime
In the summertime
My girlfriend's run off with my car,
And gone back to her ma and pa,
Telling tales of drunkenness and cruelty.
Now I'm sitting here,
Sipping at my ice cool beer,
Lazing on a sunny afternoon.
I found a number of them through google searches, but I am looking for quality over quantity.
Thanks for your help!!!

it's not a song about taxes, but i'm currently enjoying b.o.b.'s single "nothin' on you," in which his praise for the girl of his dreams goes like this: "baby you the whole package / plus you pay your taxes."
a smart young man, b.o.b. is.
