I remember some particularly weird New Order fans on the internet around 2001 getting in a strop because the band had released an album with more than one word in the title, and claiming that the real title was Newordergetready.

It can be a typographical issue. This scan might be too small to read, but when this Peter Hammill live album came out a few pedants started calling it Roomtemperaturelive, because that's how it looks on the cover. It wasn't, of course, it was just called Room Temperature.

In a perfect world, this is how Alanis Morrisette gets all her album titles.

I always thought the Cramps live album was called rockinnreelininaucklandnewzealandxxx , but people seem to list it using spaces sometimes.

What about album titles like this by bands with names like it too (e.g. Godheadsilo, Usaisamonster)?

Yeah but like I said upthread I think those Bowie ones are just typographical, the album is called Station to Station not Stationtostation. Even the comps I just think of as Changes One and Changes Two.

anagram, Friday, 12 March 2010 21:58 (fifteen years ago)

I've always been a bit confused about Isolee's 2005 album. It looks like most places call it We Are Monster, but notably, Metacritic and Stylus both spell it all closed up.
