I know nothing about French cabaret singers other than Jacques Brel. From the obit it seems he had quite a life.
Meanwhile I know a little about Brazilian bossa nova, but was not familiar with Johnny Alf, a father of that genre who just died and whose passing we chose to acknowledge on the bossa nova thread. Maybe I should have given him his own thread? bossa nova: S&D
