Well maybe not American Idol or Europop, but I feel Sheryl Crow's "Everyday is a Winding Road" will eventually get sampled during the inevitable Big Beat revival. The part around the 2:40 mark alway made me think of Fatboy Slim.

Thankyou, this thread, for posting not just What's Up but Zombie in their full Euro-pop horror. I remember hearing them when I worked at Mixmag but haven't heard them since and am gratified to discover that they are every bit as ghastly as I remembered.

What's Up would be a shoo-in: "Trying to get up that great big hill of hope" That's American Idol gold.

We got the "What's Up?" Eurohouse remix but that "Zombie" cover was never played over here.

Yeah this type of record really relies on indignant indie-ists going "they just don't UNDERSTAND it!" so A Design For Life is perfect in that regard.
