F&W is a better name for 1988-98 indie rock than "indie rock".

bendy, Tuesday, 30 March 2010 02:42 (fifteen years ago)

i don't understand why there's a separate hairy category just for g'n'r when it would be so much easier to file it under swagger

'poop metal'

not sure if it is a typo or the guy just collects stuff he hates....

my g/f went used to go out with some dude who considered himself a metalhead (he now goes round in skinny jeans and a pete doherty-style tweed hat). Anyway, she once recounted to me that he'd told her that there were only five main genres of metal, including a style called "tough-guy" metal. Can anyone please tell me if "tough-guy" metal really exists, cos I've never heard of it.

Pagan Troll Folk. My brain immediately started to sing "Pagan Troll" to the tune of folk classic "Peg & Awl."

EZ Snappin, Tuesday, 30 March 2010 15:53 (fifteen years ago)

slsk users with borgesian file structures are great, it's a pity i don't have my old userlist to hand

nakhchivan, Tuesday, 30 March 2010 15:56 (fifteen years ago)

I'm sure I met someone on Slsk (possibly an ilxor) who had their folders divided into DANCE/CRY/SLEEP/RUN/SWIM(!), or something like that (swim was definitely in there) which I thought was excellent.

village idiot (dog latin), Tuesday, 30 March 2010 16:10 (fifteen years ago)

this is awesome

bamcquern, Tuesday, 30 March 2010 17:53 (fifteen years ago)

I don't see how there's any other option here besides pagan troll folkmetal

Whats with all the littering? (Shakey Mo Collier), Tuesday, 30 March 2010 17:59 (fifteen years ago)

Can anyone please tell me if "tough-guy" metal really exists, cos I've never heard of it.

I've definitely heard "tough-guy hardcore" used to describe tri-state area stuff like 25 ta life, madball, hatebreed, etc. before.
