:( no dirty pretty things second album then

he might have even have gone in. (a hoy hoy), Tuesday, 30 March 2010 09:47 (fifteen years ago)

The conductor on my train had his sleeves rolled up once (not today, it's freezing), exposing a 'libertine' tattoo on his inner forearm. He'll be delighted at this news.

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 30 March 2010 09:52 (fifteen years ago)

It's either too early or too soon. Should have done a Stone Roses and milked it for another ten years.

I suppose that crack won't pay for itself though.

Matt DC, Tuesday, 30 March 2010 10:10 (fifteen years ago)

how soon is early?

nakhchivan, Tuesday, 30 March 2010 10:35 (fifteen years ago)

About 11am.

Matt DC, Tuesday, 30 March 2010 10:38 (fifteen years ago)

yeah, i posted this here today:

NME says the libertines are the most culturally significant band in the UK today (or something) - thoughts?

nakhchivan, Tuesday, 30 March 2010 10:41 (fifteen years ago)

i love what Pete said to NME, couldn't have used better wording:

Pete Doherty added: "I can’t really believe it yet. I haven’t quite digested it. It’s been a bit of a pipe dream."

Trouble is that Primal Scream are headlining the second stage at the same time.

Trouble is that Primal Scream are headlining the second stage at the same time.

How about a troupe of shellsuited glaswegians to follow Bobby G around screaming about what a fucking disgrace he is?

nakhchivan, Wednesday, 31 March 2010 10:12 (fifteen years ago)

Matt DC, Wednesday, 31 March 2010 10:19 (fifteen years ago)

Allbran Burg (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 31 March 2010 10:23 (fifteen years ago)

Let's see who gets a Glee cover first

Allbran Burg (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 31 March 2010 10:23 (fifteen years ago)

do the libertines have a big indie disco anthem a la 'panic'?

rip sarah silverman 3/19/10 never forget (history mayne), Wednesday, 31 March 2010 10:41 (fifteen years ago)

"Don't Look Back into the Sun", "Can't Stand Me Now". probly some others

Allbran Burg (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 31 March 2010 10:44 (fifteen years ago)

the libertines sound is so PHYSICAL, i don't really know many other 00s rock bands that incite jumping up and down and stuff. guess that's not dancing though

bodacious cowboy (hobbes), Wednesday, 31 March 2010 10:50 (fifteen years ago)

eh that sounds kinda bad what i just wrote there. nf w/enough 00s rock bands to endorse that statement there.

bodacious cowboy (hobbes), Wednesday, 31 March 2010 10:54 (fifteen years ago)

i think most rock bands incite jumpment in excitable teens tbh

Allbran Burg (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 31 March 2010 10:54 (fifteen years ago)

This band are a complete mystery to me

Collectible Spoons of the 3rd Reich (Tom D.), Wednesday, 31 March 2010 11:02 (fifteen years ago)

xp yeah indeed... i was going to say the libertines make a great soundtrack to a brawl.. but maybe it's that they kinds SOUND like a brawl

bodacious cowboy (hobbes), Wednesday, 31 March 2010 11:04 (fifteen years ago)

dont forget that one that goes "and then the chorus goes LAY DI DAY DEE DA DA LAY DI DAY DEE DA DA " etc.

Mark G, Wednesday, 31 March 2010 12:53 (fifteen years ago)
