Also, Disney pop takes over the world, hip hop peaks commercially, R&B absorbs hip hop and moves forward, and rock music either collapses as an economic force or changes its name to Contemporary Country. The single returns, the album goes into decline, and the demographics of music consumption trend increasingly younger.
