i was able to get my hand on this album tonight, looking forward to hearing it.

Bee OK, Monday, 12 April 2010 03:25 (fifteen years ago)

I am deeply envious. I can't wait to get my hands on this. I've been contenting myself with bootlegs from the tour in-progress, which includes songs from "Ark" as well as new material for the album(s) after that.

What the hell at that cover image.

Ned Raggett, Monday, 12 April 2010 05:11 (fifteen years ago)

what label is this on?

not sure but it's suppose to be out by June.

I haven't been able to make it click yet. I've downloaded a couple of his recent live shows that sound pretty great though, so I'll keep trying.

Abbott is OTM, this album is magnificent!

Boo Radley (Bee OK), Thursday, 24 June 2010 03:14 (fifteen years ago)

Will give it a listen, just wish the DCD reunion had lasted longer though.

tempted to get it but massively turned off by that cover art

t-shart weather (electricsound), Thursday, 24 June 2010 08:59 (fifteen years ago)

co-headlining tour had been scheduled - Murphy bailed out at last minute, Perry dissed him as a hypocondriac

licorice oratorio (baaderonixx), Thursday, 24 June 2010 09:02 (fifteen years ago)

That is bonkers!

breaking that little dog's heart chakra (Abbott), Thursday, 24 June 2010 14:53 (fifteen years ago)

That letter cannot have been written by a native English speaker.

haha yeah that goth smackdown is pretty hilarious

licorice oratorio (baaderonixx), Friday, 25 June 2010 08:22 (fifteen years ago)

Wow, it did come from Murphy's MySpace page. Did he have a stroke?

the girl from spirea x (f. hazel), Friday, 25 June 2010 10:08 (fifteen years ago)

you're right - there are so many EFL mistakes in that letter

In a recent interview Perry talked about another possible Dead Can Dance reunion next year. Would be great to see them together again.

Well that's an unexpected title.

Ned Raggett, Monday, 16 November 2020 17:13 (five years ago)

well, there was that Greek tune Lamma Bada he played during the 2012 tour... supposedly the upcoming DCD album is going to be "neo-baroque"

thousand-yard spiral stairs (f. hazel), Monday, 16 November 2020 17:29 (five years ago)

Two ignorant & entitled woke warriors were giving him grief on Twitter requesting he renounce the "G*psy girl" song title of a 1920s traditional song WITHOUT EVEN HEARING IT PRIOR. I followed the protracted exchange in disbelief. The man stood his ground admirably assuredly, schooling them a bit in the process about such trifle things as context and register, in the end leaving them patronisingly voicing their "disappointment" with their erstwhile pop idol, before continuing to write about cats and Netlix series on their respective pages. Good grief.

Max Florian, Thursday, 26 November 2020 12:54 (five years ago)

I love Perry’s music and don’t doubt his good intentions but if he’s not Roma it’s not his (or our) call to proclaim his use of that term OK.

Reissue of 1999's Eye of the Hunter on vinyl and CD, with bonus disc of his live set at the 13-Year Itch thing from 1993 (where he does the most uncanny Neil Diamond impression with his cover of Happy Time). Always loved this first solo album, never could get into Ark.
