Who should I see this weekend: Heavy Trash or The Coathangers/The Thermals?

Which do you imagine (or if you've seen them, know) would be a better show? They're playing on the same night and I'd really like to see both but it's just not going to work out with the set times.

the coathangers are one of the best live bands i've ever seen in my life and the thermals are one of the worst. never heard of heavy trash.

totally worth it for coathangers, though, exuberant cheer-leaderish screaming punk babes having an insane amount of fun. i got their record after the show but there's no comparison whatsoever.

Thermals kicked it when I saw them, what was so bad in your experience? Coathangers' album was alright iirc. Heavy Trash is Jon Spencer's non Blues Explosion band, would probly be fun if nothing else

ok admittedly thermals was at an outdoor festival with not excellent sound, and i was (perhaps unfairly) expecting dude to make weird faces while singing. coathangers are the most quintessentially live > recordings band i have ever known GO TO THAT SHOW REATARDZ.

Are you in Cambridge or New Haven? There appears to be the same dilemma in both places this weekend.

Well, I'll be in New Haven. I'm actually from Richmond but I'll be up there this weekend and can't make the Coathangers show here in VA because of work.

Not sure if this helps but, the club where Heavy Trash is playing is much better, if you prefer drinks and such.
