Here is a super-obscure Tom Tom Club track that everyone should hear

It was on the "Party Girl" soundtrack in 1995 and I think maybe 7 people in the universe have ever heard it, but it's really fucking killer (sparse slinky beat with awesome bass riff and supremely irresistible in a way I can't really put in words). Someone plz tell Tina to release a 12".

Cool! Thanks for this, never heard it. Kinda reminds me of a Prince project, like Vanity 6 or something.

Wow, Prince's "Lady Cab Driver" came on shuffle this morning and I was like "WHOA that's what he was talking about!!"

Anyone wanna share my love of Dark Sneak Love Action? I think that's a totally slept-on disc in their catalog. It's not all great, but years ago I edited out the cuts I didn't like to make a 45 minute cassette, and I used to rock that on the regular.

that's the only one I've never seen a copy of (apart from the live album)

Oh wow, thanks! The most recent Tom Tom Club I'd heard prior to this was "Suboceana" due to the Marshall Jefferson/Juan Atkins remixes.

dope. another cool obscure tom tom club track is "spooks", b-side to wordy rappinghood 12", which is an appropriately spooky, skeletal instrumental boogie. a favourite of mine.

That "Spooks" track is pretty rad!

still dying to know if this was recorded specifically for the movie, if this was a leftover track they had lying around and if so when it was recorded, why this was never put on any album, why this was never released as as single, what the band thinks of it, why it's never played live, etc etc etc
