Feeling nothing but unhinged passion towards this music at the moment. What/who are your favorites?

my fado knowledge is pretty much limited to Amalia and to Mariza, the reigning fado superstar, would be interested in hearing from other who might know more

From a Rock, Paper, Scissors publicist e-mail I just received today:

Ana Moura, Leva-Me Aos Fados (World Village)
She sings the traditional three-song set at storied fado houses in Lisbon, picking her songs right before stepping out on stage in front of the candlelit room, following the call of her heart at that moment. She improvises vocal lines on stage with Mick Jagger in front of packed stadiums

My knowledge is limited to Mariza and whoever that unknown fado singer was that I heard in my one visit to Portugal 18 years ago!

The samples of Leva-Me Aos Fados at Amazon.co.uk sound great - thanks! Rodrigues did an album with Don Byas ("Amalia Rodrigues With Don Byas"), which I enjoy greatly.
