Eighth Wonder "I'm not scared"

Loved it as a kid and still love it now. Amazed this hasn't been covered by some goth-leaning band yet (or has it?)

Still prefer the magisterial Pet Shop Boys version, but this one has the virtue of popping into my head unbidden. I was in a a crowded elevator last week when I started singing "Tonight these streets are FULL of actors!" under my breath.

until very very recently - I heard that line as "FULL of laughters". Made more sense, IMO

the PSB remix for the 12" is kinda best-of-both-worlds

IIRC "I'm Not Scared" is famously the only song on Introspective that Dan P. actually likes.

Oh I hadn't heard that mix. It's great! Thanks Ned, Sic. I think I like the music better on the Eight Wonder version, but only slightly. The only problem is, my god, Patsy Kensit CANNOT SING! Her hotness almost makes up for it, though.

I think the ideal version would be Neil's vocals on the Eight Wonder track.

xp I think I agree about her non-singing-ability (and maybe about her "hotness," too), which is probably why I like the French version so much, she basically just heavy breathes the words like so much other anonymous hairspray disqo.

By they way I remember reading a long (and I mean looong) dissertation on whether the line "If I was you" was grammatically correct or not.
